How to get bloggers to write about you

First of all, what is a blog? A blog is a website that displays information in chronological order. The information on the site may be commentary on someone’s personal life, an interesting article they read, or a review of a good restaurant – it’s whatever the author wants it to be. A blog gives readers the ability to provide feedback on their site. Technorati monitors over a million blogs everyday.
1. Reason Number OneGive them good content
Bloggers don’t want a sales pitch, and they won’t enjoy you evangelizing your product or service on their site. Give them good, useful content.
2. Give a little, take a little
Provide links to your favorite bloggers on your website. Once they are connected to you, they will feel more inclined to put to you on their site as well.
3. Get to know your blogger
Bloggers can be a friend or a foe - keep them on your good side. If a blogger says something good about you, write them a personalized thank you note and offer them more content. Some people go as far as to send them gifts.
